Black and white scratchboard illustration of a 1850’s gambler.

This illustration was done for The Frazier Historical Arms Museum in Louisville, Kentucky. It depicts the fashion of a 1850s gambler.

The original illustration was done on white Ambersand Claybord at 18 inches tall. The illustration was printed life size on a standup cutout and used in a display about the fashion and guns used by a typical gambler of the mid 19th century.

The typical gambler of the period was often seen as a dandy.
