Our visit to the architect was productive. They did have a 3D model, and I was able to work with an associate who showed me the castle from several different perspectives. We printed an 8.5 X 11 inch image of the best angles. The model wasn't 100 percent accurate and was missing a lot of detail, so the architect gave me several elevation drawings that showed the information that was missing in the 3D renderings.

With my reference photos, the printouts of the 3D model, and the elevation drawings I had all the reference material necessary to start the illustration. It was time to head home and get started on the illustration...Next>
