I followed Berne's comments and made a new pencil. The bear is now holding the gramophone and I have refined the overall detail. I have also indicated how the drawing will fit in the label design.

I emailed the revised pencil to the client and he responded with the email below:

Michael, It is looking fantastic! The client is thoroughly pleased, and so am I. My two comments is that the bear seems to have a human torso. I think that they have softer shoulders per se. Also, their chests are more barrel like. Finally, try as best you can to get the facial characteristics of his daughter. I know that this is difficult, and we trust your better judgment. You have our complete blessing to proceed. Onwards! Let’s go to final artwork. Best, BHB

I made the requested changes and proceeded to the finished illustration.
