My sister Donna Geneva Halbert — She was the first born and was born 24 November 1947, at the weight of 8 lbs. 3 oz. She died a year later 19 December 1948, from complications resulting from Chickenpox, which she contracted from the landlady's daughter. My parents were living in an apartment in St. Louis at the time. Donna is buried at Hazel Creek Cemetery, Washington County, Missouri. This was a sad time for my parents, but they picked up the pieces and had three more children: Carolyn Sue, Michael Dale (me), and Ricky Edward Halbert. See more photos of Donna.
