Me, Michael Dale Halbert, at about 12 years old — I started second grade at Belgrade Elementary and attended high school at Valley High in Caledonia, Missouri. We had only 43 students in my high school graduating class. I was a good student up to the 7th grade then I discovered girls and other forms of mischief. I never did get an "F" on a report card, put the grades were by no means good, either. By my junior year in high school I started to think about earning a living, and at that time began taking education more seriously. Basketball and girls were still more fun, but at least education was now on my "first string" of priorities. I got that scar on my lip as a baby when I fell off a couch onto a glass baby bottle. That must have hurt. I would have preferred the scare on my check — for a more macho look. See more of my old photos.
