Download a 1200ppi PDF of this illustration and print a portfolio sample (1 meg) from your desktop printer. The best print quality will be obtained by using a service provider; however, a 1200ppi laser printer or high resolution inkjet printer will give reasonable results.

This illustration was done for Ralston-Purina to use on a 50-LB dog food bag. The illustration was enlarged to approximately 250 percent and the line work was printed in a light gray color. Ralston provided the photo reference. There were four illustrations in this series: Springer Spaniel, Golden Retriever, Collie, and a bird dog.
