TIP:
When using the scale feature (layer-transform-scale), hold the shift key
down as you drag a corner handle to transform scale proportionately. The
height and width can be scaled separately by dragging from the middle of
an edge, without holding the shift key.

You can manipulate a selection or layer using several transformations in
succession before applying the cumulative transformation. |

The
art director stopped by to see how things were looking. Her comments-
the eyes are to wide open, should be sexier, move the bra strap to the
right and give more shape to the waist. Following describes how I fixed
the eyes.
Scanned the eyes from another stock photo at roughly the same size (a
bit of trial and error here) and the same resolution. Used the lasso tool
and made an irregular selection around the eyes and eyebrows, then feathered
the selection by about 12 pixels. Inverted the selection, named the background
(have to give the background a name before the background can be deleted
to transparent) and deleted the surrounding background. Used the move
tool to drag the selection into the main file on a new layer and adjusted
levels of eyes to match face. With the move tool still selected, positioned
the eyes. The eyes didn't quite fit, so with that layer still active,
the eyes were selected and, layer-transform-scale was selected from the
menu. A box appeared around the eyes, moved the handles of the box until
the eyes were the correct size, then hit return to apply. As you may have
noticed, the eye on the left (her right eye) is skewed. Here's how I fixed
it. Made a slightly irregular selection around that eye and eyebrow using
the lasso tool, and copied and pasted to a new layer. From the menu, selected
layer-transform-rotate, a bounding box appeared around the eye, rotated
and moved until it looked right and hit return to apply. Merged the layer
with the eyes and face, then with the rubber stamp tool, blended the edges.
TIP:
To move a transform selection or layer, place the pointer inside the bounding
box and drag. This will help visualize how the transform fits.
