TIP:
Computers, ram, hard drives, floppy disk, freeware, software, hardware and underwear, all technical things (except the underwear), and all can do great things for you. The key words here are "for you." you are the artist with an idea and a mental image of what you want to create. Understand what these things can do technically, and make them do what you want. Too many computer artists rely on that one button, filter or plug-in to create an effect, it's not really what they wanted, but it's close so they let it go. Artists should not quit until the image in front of them matches what they see in there minds eye.

More work was done on the hair, using the brush and airbrush tools, and painting as you would a traditional painting, being sure to keep a nice hair texture (notice the highlight on the bangs). Guides were used to help straighten the bangs and shape the head.
Dark eye makeup was added to a new layer. Only reason for a new layer is the ease of revisions. This was painted with the brush and pencil tools.
Needed to make the light source on the face match the lighting of the body. To do this, the lasso tool was used to draw a selection on the left side (your left) of her face. The original photo of the model was referred to as a general guide for how the light hit, but we used a softer version of that lighting. After the selection was made and feathered by about 20 pixels, it was saved (select-save selection, make sure new channel is chosen and click OK) and more work was done on it in the channel. Switched to the channels palette and selected the channel that was just created. Using a combination of tools, the selection was lightened and feathered as needed. Selected the layers palette, and made a new layer and put it above the face layer, then loaded the selection and filled with black. Switched layer from normal mode to overlay and adjusted the transparency until it looked right (looked or looks right is a technical term that means, it looks right).
Briefly, other alterations made at this stage, lift and separate the bra, add cleavage, use the dodge and burn tools to adjust values and trim waist.

TIP:
The dodge and burn tools could be the gray scale artists best friend. They lighten and darken the image without changing the basic textures. Using these tools with color is more complex since they not only lighten and darken but also change the saturation of the color
