The reference photo taken with the digital camera, is downloaded directly into PhotoShop. The digital camera has better image quality than a Polaroid and there is no for film to be developed as with 35mm slides or prints. Reference of a printing press from Gutenberg's time, was scanned and combined with the image of the model. This is not meant to be a nice photo, just reference to draw from. This reference is setup as a mirror image of the final art. This will save a step in the pencil to scratchboard stage. The press will be changed to look more primitive, but it does give a good starting point.
