  Scratchboard Pencil Rough

This is my final pencil, the one I'll use to get client approval and the one that will be used to start the final art. OK, it's not very detailed, but it is a good road map for the final illustration.

The pencil is a mirror image of the final illustration, so when the pencil is flipped over and placed on the scratchboard, the graphite will be in contact with the board. The pencil can now be transfered to the scratchboard by burnishing.

Fact:
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Gutenberg had a vision for making the printed page, using moveable type made from pouring molten lead in to moldes. The problem was, he needed money, so he borrowed money from the money people. As soon as Gutenberg got into a little finacial trouble, the money people took over and took credit for the creation of the printing process, and the profits.
