Here is another scratchboard illustration
(there were 9 illustrations for this project) to be used on signage inside
a history of arms museum. This illustration of a gambler from 1850s America
will be used to show how a gambler hid weapons on different parts of his
body.
The illustration will be printed life-size on glass, and the actual arms
(weapons) will be place on the illustration in the areas where they would
have been carried, or hidden.
To get started on this project I do very rough, down-and-dirty sketches.
Follow the steps to see how this scratchboard illustration was done.
Fact:
The gambler of 1850s America would often wear valuable jewlry, and other
items of value, so he would have something to wager if he lost all his
money.
