Perspective Setup

Detail
To distort the type to fit the perspective of the tape, select the type to distort then choose the Free Transform tool. Start dragging right edge of the box then hold down the "Command" key. Drag the edge around until it fits the perspective.

Before starting the outline drawing of the house, guides need to be made for the two point perspective that will be used. This drawing should be fun, so the perspective doesn't have to be 100 percent accurate. Fun is the key word here.

Making the perspective guides:
1. Start by finding the horizon line. You know, eye level.
2. Beginning with the right side, draw a line above the center of the house down to the horizon line to the right of the house.
3. Move the end points of the line to find the vanishing point on the horizon line.
4. Now use the Selection Tool to select the line and make a copy (Command C) of that line and paste it in front (Command F). Click an empty area to deselect the line.
5. Use the Direct Selection Tool to select the anchor point on the end above the house (this should select the line that was just pasted in front) and drag it down to the bottom center of the house. The two lines should be making a "V" shape now.
6. Select both lines now and go to OBJECT/BLENDS/BLEND OPTIONS and choose "Specified Steps" and enter a number (I used 30) for the number of steps. Click OK.
7. Select the "Blend Tool" from the tool bar and click on the left top point then the left bottom point. The lines are blended into a perspective pattern..
8. With the blended lines still selected choose OBJECT/BLENDS/EXPAND.
9. Finally choose VIEW/MAKE GUIDES.
10. Do the same thing for the left side.
