This illustration began as a detailed pencil drawing that was scanned and used as a guide in Adobe Photoshop 5.5 and Adobe Illustrator 8.

Using the pencil sketch of the monster as a starting point, a graphics pen was used to refine and complete the monster drawing in Photoshop. Then using the pencil sketch as a template, the mechanical outline shapes of the buildings were drawn in Illustrator, and placed in the "Monster" Photoshop file. Finally, most of the shading for the buildings and sky were done with a line conversion method.
