The pencil sketch of the monster was done with a soft lead pencil (6 or 8B) on vellum. The monster and the buildings were done on separate pieces of vellum and pieced together in Photoshop. The main reason for that was, to make it possible to fit them on an 8.5 inch by 14 inch flatbed scanner.
