Pencil sketch to be used for final scratchboard illustration

The pencils are scanned separately in Grayscale at 150 percent of the final print size, and at 600ppi.

After some adjustments with Levels and the UnSharp Mask filter, the monster is converted to Bitmap mode (this removes all shades of gray), then back to Grayscale mode. The monster pencil is now dragged into the scan of the buildings and positioned on a separate layer above the buildings.

The scan of the monster will be taken to finished line art by using a graphics pen, and the scan of the buildings will be used to show the position for placing the line drawing of the buildings that will be done in Illustrator.
