Rikki-tikki-tavi is a short story by Rudyard
Kipling. The story, and my illustration, were to be used by Holt, Rinehart
and Winston in a text book for 6th grade students, used to teach reading
skills.
The illustration was used as a spread (across
two pages) with the story starting on the right. A photo of a mongoose
(Rikki-tikki-tavi) would be striped into the large, center panel of the
illustration.
